Its membership comprises many of the world\u2019s major satellite communications companies.<\/p>\n<p>DLR is the national aeronautics and space research centre of the Federal Republic of Germany. Its extensive research and development work in aeronautics, space, energy, transport and security is integrated into national and international cooperative ventures.<\/p>\n<p>As a member of the SDA, DLR will receive reliable and immediate access to information that improves operations for conjunction assessment, RF interference, and geolocation support, as well as providing authoritative contact information for a given space object.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted to add DLR to our list of members\u201d commented Mark Rawlins, Chairman, Space Data Association. \u201cDLR is carrying out valuable work in the exploration of Earth and the Solar System and we are pleased that our data will enable them with that important task.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Michael Kirschner, Flight Dynamics, DLR said: \u201cThe SDA will give us important access to reliable space environment data, as well as connections to other members. It maintains the Space Data Center, a database of high-accuracy orbital information, which is operated by Analytical Graphics, Inc. (AGI) of Exton, PA. Established in the Isle of Man the SDA is open to all satellite operators and other participants.
