Airbus Defence and Space, through its Secure Communications division, is the world’s leading commercial provider of military-grade satellite communications. Airbus Defence and Space is the prime contractor for the Skynet 5 contract with the UK Ministry of Defence. The program provides mobile voice, video, internet and broadcast communications for the UK armed forces, as well as a range of other Government departments and agencies. Airbus Defence and Space owns, manages and operates the Skynet 5 satellite system, and is responsible for delivering the service, controlling the satellites, managing the network and implementing all upgrades throughout its life.

DLR Space Operations is the central institution for spaceflight operations in Germany. This responsibility includes satellite missions for Earth observation, communication and reconaissance missions as well as for the exploration of the solar system and human spaceflight missions. Furthermore, Astronauts are trained, space experiments are prepared and sounding rockets are developed and launched from sites around the world. Es’hailSat is a new satellite operator based in Doha, Qatar and will own and operate satellites to provide television, internet, corporate and government services across the Middle East, North Africa and beyond. Es’hailSat’s key services include, TV broadcasting, newsgathering, business communications and corporate networks, trunking and other telecommunication services.
Es’hail 1, was launched in 2013 and is already providing high quality, premium DTH content from the 26 degrees East broadcast neighborhood. Es’hail 2 is expected to be launched at the end of 2016.

Geo-informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (Public Organisation) or GISTDA is a government organisation under the supervision of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
